Baofeng Liquor Industry, founded in 1948, is located in Baofeng County, Henan Province, the famous hometown of Chinese folk art, magic and folk culture and art in the hinterland of the Central Plains. It is an early Baijiu manufacturer in Henan Province, and also a fragrant large-scale Baijiu enterprise in Henan, Shandong, Anhui and Jiangsu provinces.
Baofeng liquor inherits a thousand year old brewing technique, and the brewing technique was selected as a national intangible cultural heritage in 2008. Baofeng liquor is mainly made from high-quality sorghum and mixed with barley, wheat, and peas to make koji. It adopts the traditional "steaming twice clearing" process, ferments in the vat, distills at low temperature, picks liquor by grades, and stores it in pottery jars. It is old and ripe. It has the characteristics of pure fragrance, soft sweetness, sweet and refreshing taste, and long aftertaste. It is one of the typical representatives of Daqu Baijiu in China.
In 1915, at the Panama International Exposition, Baofeng liquor won the first-class medal; In 1989, at the 5th National Baijiu Appraisal Conference, Baofeng Liquor won the National Gold Award for its high score of fragrance type, thus being promoted to the list of Chinese famous liquors and ranked in the "17th National Famous Liquor". In February 2011, Baofeng liquor brand was recognized by the Ministry of Commerce as a "Chinese time-honored brand". In May 2013, Baofeng Liquor Industry successfully completed its corporate restructuring, injecting new vitality into its development!
At present, the enterprise has 30000 fermentation tanks, 50000 tons of pottery jar raw wine storage, 3000 raw ancient baskets of wine sea, 8 automatic and semi-automatic sterile filling production lines, and a relatively advanced large-scale finished wine three-dimensional warehouse in China. There are two national masters in the Baijiu industry, Lu Zhenying, a Chinese Baijiu master, and Ge Shaohua, a Chinese Baijiu craftsman. There are nine national Baijiu judges, and more than 400 medium and senior technicians.
